請教大家....
假如我想做一個草缸....
現在甚麼都沒有~唔計擺設~
最基本我要準備d咩????????

shungching: You'll need:
1. Tank: White glass or crystal tank is preferred. But crystal tank is expensive. If space allows, 90cmx45cmx45cm is the best for aquascaping. Otherwise, a standard tank of 60cmx35cmx30cm is a good start for newbies.
2. Canister: Eheim products are always preferred. You'll need 2217 for 24" tank if you're going to connect it to other devices.
3. Chiller: This is a must in summer if you're serious about aquascaping. You should be able to keep the temperature at 25c which is the best condition for plants to grow.
4. UV: Not a must but recommended.
5. CO2 set: This includes CO2 cylinder (1L for 24" tank), bubble counter, check valves, electrical regulator, diffusor.
6. Lighting system: GLO of 24Wx2 is recommended for 24" tank. For other brands, you'll need 24Wx3. All these are of T5HO tubes. If you need T8 tubes, ADA is always preferred.
7. Soil layer: 1 pack of 9L ADA New. You'll also need ADA Power Sand Special.
8. Fertilizers: You don't need them in the first 3 months of setup. You'll need ADA Step2, Brighty K, Special Lights, ECA. In case of need, you'll need Seachem Trace and Iron.

shungching: Assuming the setup is of 24":
1. Tank: Vivaria cyrstal tank, around $380.
2. Canister: Atman canister CF-1000/ CF-1200, around $400.
3. Chiller: Hailea HC-130A, around $1,800.
4. UV: Install it later.
5. CO2 set: UP 1L set, around $800. Other accessories: $200.
6. Lighting system: GLO 24Wx2, including tubes, around $850.
7. Soil layer: 9L ADA New, around $150
8. Take the list I mentioned above, around $100 for each kind of fertilizer. They are not necessary for the day 1 setup and you may buy them later.

This should be use when you set up the tank. However, it is not a must for a standard 24" tank. If you have already established the tank, you can't add them further.

(14"缸仔與個桶平放
個桶重大份過個缸好怪樣)

Never use Eden 501 for a 14" tank. It's not enough!!! Will you consider Eheim 2211?
