Factor your filter can circulate your tanks' total volume by at least 5 times
Say a 100litre tank need at least 500L per hour water flow.
The filter spec was measure as zero loading that means no height difference and no filtrate. You need to compensate for that by over provision up. Say my previous tank of 60litre water I have a 700litre per hour filter and it's only marginal ok. Water flow is very week that I need to add a submerge pump to create some water flow inside the tank. Good news is the grass you plant are very good filter. Take that into mind
