水草情迷

以下問題請解答:

1)依家co2計泡及霧化有喉鎖, 咁我用唔用得daz 个支玻璃U型管呢?(有圖)
2)有乜莫C比較青綠, 不太喜歡凰皇台的墨綠色
3)如果養鲷,PH要ACID. 咁用砂+草泥丸係濾涌OK嗎? 因砂比較耐用. 定係用泥會好D.
4)如全缸用砂或者泥,苦不插草,是否不需五宝,因我不太懂梳水的問題
5)如插草,全缸用砂,是否應加五宝及POWER SAND?
6)有什麼插草適合後景(陰草光度計),大沙草可以嗎?
7)缸48"長,18"深,若約前3",後5",是否應5包泥,2包POWER SAND.

依家重未决定養陽草+燈魚定係陰草+鲷. 我同老婆LIKE 陽草多D,我又LIKE鲷多D,佢又唔太LIKE太細條既魚. (唔係唔LIKE, 係有其它較好既選擇就.........)
另外,鲷比較多沉底游,大缸美觀上會否失色D呢?
缸已收但未落得水,下星期先開工. 依兩日買埋D器材.

1.what do u mean by short plastic tube? why i am asking is because i think this dazs would looks better hooking onto the tank.

3.i have decided go for soil. but, the shop said ada 1 quality is not good anymore. the water color became yellow and will last for very long. they recommend k6. expensive. do you recommend ada 1, ada 2 or k6.
4.i will add power sand & 五宝.
5. 60L.

i just put up the tank onto the shelf. it is much bigger than what i expected. i saw a similar size tank in the shop, which looks ok to me. maybe the shop's space is so much open and bigger. anyway, already received and nothing to do with it. just enjoy the tank.

1. The attachment below shows how I have connected the U-tube, CO2 plastic tube and bubble counter.
3. In terms of fertilization level, ADA I is always the best. Those yellowish issues can be resolved by adding active carbon. I don't have any experience with K6. Let other c hings help.

Make sure the shelf can take 170-200lbs of weight.

Thank you so much once again. I have just put on the equipement today, took me two days. When I try to install the in/out flow, I feel like a swimming pool. haha, funny!

I will keep using ada 1 soil. I have asked an expert (some ada winner ), he said my glo lightering (only 54w x 2 tube, i bought 2 set of light and 1 tube on each set) is okay for moss and also some 迷矮 or most of the 陽草 unless those one, which need the strongest lightering. (it is because plants would normally get used to the new environment except some difficult one) So, I am very happy to hear that and I must give it a try. I will choose the plant carful, as I got a book for all plants requirement. Hope it would work out, so the plant and 鯛 to be in good condition.
Just took some photos for you to see.
When I did part of the plants, I will post it out. See if you can make me some improvement.

I have a question about the arctica cooler. the shop teach me how to use it, but it is totally different from the menu.
There is two things you have to set, right?
1. current water temp. (same as the theometer)
2. target temp. (On the menu, it said that the cooler with be on/off by +1/-1 degree. If i set 26, it will turn on when water temp is 27 and turn off when it is 25, right)
the above is what i found from the menu. So +1/-1 degree is fixed and can't be adjust, right?
The shop keep saying it is not necessary to set the current temp. as the cooler got the theometer. if the machine shows 26, you set it 28 (two degree difference, this is what he keep telling me), then it will be +1/-1 degree on/off. it doesn't make sense to me, as why don't you set 24 to get it +1/-1 degree on/off.
Since you are using arctica, so I want to ask you to be sure.

by the way, your recommendation of arctica is really good. i am satisfy with it. I should not get complain by my wife. If you don't tell me, I might go for hailea already and will be piss off by my wife.
I don't really feel heat increase (maybe just not in this weather). For the noise, it wasn't so bad ( i try to switch to 23 for few minutes and machine start cooling, it got noise but wasn't so bad)

* regarding to the previous message, the person who told me the instruction to set the cooler is not from the dealer. shop from fs and you might know who they are. just to avoid any misunderstanding with the shop.

Hi leoo11: Sorry that I miss your post as the forum has been down for a few days. To answer your questions:
1. Correct. You have to calibrate the temperature between the water and reading of the chiller first.
2. Correct again. Users are not allowed to change the deviation of +/- 1c. But for my case, I set the temperature to 24.5c and the machine will turn on at 24.7c and turn off at 24.3c.

The shopkeeper is wrong. You have to calibrate the temperature first.

i set the cooler at 26. so far, it turn on when 26.5 degree. i didn't notice what's the tempature it will turn off yet. anyway, it is adjust from by the machine automatic. so, there is nothing be mistake by me anyway.

I have just finished my 4' tank today. I will post you a pic when water is clear. it is a bit cloudy now.
for the look, it is better than my expectation so far. maybe my standard is too low.
