I had similar issue before when my water quality is still evolving; bubbles (CO2 or air) on the water surface did not disperse well but instead formed a thin layer of foam which was pushed by current towards the sides of the tank.
It should have nothing to do with yeast / alcohol leaking into your aquarium (if so, you fishes would be dead by now).
May I suggest you check if there's a film of "oil" (excess protein which increases the viscousity of water surface) on the water. Removing this layer could help but you need to give time for the aquarium water quality to stablize. More frequent water change may also help.
I no longer have this problem; although it would re-emerge if I got lazy and did not change water according to schedule.
