I used 2 light boxes (1 box with 2x 11W PL, the other is the one leaved when I used for goldfish - AA), both with a thin transparent sheet to protect water drips "jump" to the light source. I am using Ehiem 2222 and already half-shut the in-let to reduce the current, also using the new Aqua ball with half-shut outlet.

The transparent sheet is getting blurred up over time, that is the reason why I would like to know if that can be removed.

I will learn to use Chinese input asap.

If you keep the transparent protect sheet, the transparent sheet will blurred up over time, if you remove it, the light tube also will blurred up over time ...

& as you said the transparent sheet is used for protect water drips that may cause danger or damage to the light box.
