請賜教UP牌CO2好用嗎?

各位前輩,小弟欲添置CO2,請問UP牌好用嗎?

Now it's clear. Sorry that I thought you're advertising. Here the answer for you.

UP is not a brand name for quality. Having said that, I've been using UP CO2 set for quite some time because of its price. Some of them really suck but some of them are good. If you're going to have one, I'd suggest:

1. UP aluminium cylinder of 1L/ 1.5L as shown in your link. The size depends on how large your tank is. Basically, those CO2 refilling companies are charging you on the basis of 1kg. 1L of CO2 roughly equals to 0.75g, and 1.5L of CO2 roughly equals to 1.2kg. It's your own choice. Not sure about the price - should be within the range of $450-$550.
2. UP regulator A-151, and NO other else. I have had several other models and they all died within 6 months. I've been using A-151 for almost 2 years, and so far so good. Not sure about the price - should be around $300.
3. Check valves: If you look for quality one, you may choose those made in Japan. They cost around $250. If budget is your concern, I'd say Daz check valves are already good enough. Remember you have to choose the one for CO2 (in black, ~$20 each), not the one for O2 (in grey). They are different products. Also, I'd recommend you to use 2 check valves - just to play safe. If the check valve becomes malfunctioned and allows water passing through your CO2 cylinder, you'll be in trouble. Lastly, be careful of the direction shown on the check valve.
4. Diffuser: You can use the UP CO2 diffuser (simplified version). It costs only ~$15 each.
5. Bubble counter: I'd prefer the one made of glass. Daz bubble counter is good enough. You have to fill up the counter with water before you turn on the CO2 set. Get a syringe to help.
6. CO2 tubes: Again, those made in Japan is of good quality. Or, any other brand can do. Likewise, you have to choose the one for CO2, not for O2. They are different.
7. U-shape Glass tube (optional): Just cosmetic - allow a "smooth" tube passing through your tank.

The suggested way of connection:
1. Diffuser->U-shape glass tube->check valve->bubble counter->check valve->regulator->cylinder; or
2. Diffuser->U-shape glass tube->bubble counter->check valve->check valve->regulator->cylinder.

When you have everything connected. Turn on the control knob of the cylinder to the maximum, then fine tune the CO2 supply level by adjusting the control knob of the regulator. That's it.

泥 : 好似ADA 3吋高已用2年The soil layer is too old for plants. You'd better start over the tank again.

還須買一些肥料及什麼藥呢?請多多賜教,謝謝!

9Lx3? How large is your tank? If your tank is large, you may have to consider a 2L cylinder. For new tank setup, on top of ADA Amazonia I, you may also consider ADA penac P, penac W and Tourmaline BC. Whether you choose UP or other brand, it's your own choice. You may refer to my previous for details.
