DIY當然是24hrs長開
1.25L膠樽, 454g 沙糖, 一盒魚膠粉, 一茶匙乾依士
將沙糖及魚膠粉用熱水煮溶，待微暖倒入樽至斜位滿，大約兩日便會完全凝固(最緊要待魚膠粉完全凝固，唔好心急，搖動膠樽時唔會晃動，兩日唔得就等三日，要實淨先用得耐)，加入一茶匙乾依士及水約1cm高就可以。
初時一秒三泡，一秒兩泡..........大約兩個星期出氣量會滅弱，只要將液體倒出，重新加乾依士及水，就可繼續出氣，魚膠粉會一層層被乾依士溶解，我上一樽1 May做，可用到23 June，都有七個星期，跟住整過另一樽到宜家溶解左一半份量，我估應該可用到8月頭。
記住DIY當然唔及鋁樽可調出氣量、出氣時間和穩定性。[/quote]

重新加乾依士及水...咁係唔係唔理溶解左幾多,水都要入回斜位滿丫？

2/ 魚膠粉會溶解而降低左，只要加1cm高的水就得，不必加到斜位

just follow rubbishwing's instruction, I made a 2 L version; just double the amount of sugar ( 454g x2 ) and double the amoung of 魚膠粉 ( 2 packs ). Dissolve all 魚膠粉 and sugar in hot water. It took only 1 day to convert to jelly state.
Add yeast powder and 1 cm warm water, it can produce CO2 within 15 mins and the CO2 amount is very very much.

My 2 L version Diy CO2 had some problem, after 1 week, it produced lot of lot of bubbles/foams inside the bottle, and the foams amount was getting more and more and more and finally got into my tank and contaminated the tank's water. It made me exchange all the water of the tank.
I suspected it may due to the reaction of 魚膠粉 ( so creamly ), so I modified the reagent by 大菜糕, ( replaced 魚膠粉 by 大菜糕 ), half amout of a pack for 1L bottle is enough ( normal pack size from 街市雜貨舖, $8/pack ), it can change into solid state within 1 hour and the hardeness is much better than 魚膠粉.
It have been working since last week and there is no bubbles nor foams inside the bottle again, ( have to replace the liquid inside the bottle and dry yeast powder once a week ).
In my point of view, I think 大菜糕 is a good alternative if you found 魚膠粉 is not good enough in your Diy CO2 system.
( p.s. if I compare the CO2 amount between with and without 大菜糕/魚膠粉, I found the Diy CO2 system without 大菜糕/魚膠粉 can produce large amount and higher rate of CO2 per minute, of course, you have to replace the day yeast more often )
