Hi Andy, below is the explanation of my grass tank system
可否解釋下個出水安排？sure no problem.
1st set up -
water-in 吸油器 from left hand side of the tank --> Eheim 2224 700L/hr 濾桶 (50% 生物環 and 50% 生化棉) --> UV 9w --> 蛇喉 - (offshoot with 軟水樹脂) -> DIY 出水擴散 at right hand side of the tank.
2nd set up -
water-in from left hand side of the tank --> Hydro P20 600L/hr 濾桶 (100% 生物環)--> Hailea 130A cooler --> 出水 at top left corner.
C02 set up - (3 bubble per second)
1L CO2 can with 雙錶頭電池伐 --> bubble count --> Hydro turbo diffuser

Between Eheim 2224 and Hydro P20, which is stronger? Be remind that Chiller require stronger flow and UV prefer slower flow.
Is the DIY 出水擴散 really working? For the amount of resource you put into the setup, I don't understand why you stick with this, a ADA (or pseudo ADA) 出水 will work perfectly well. I suggest you use two set of that, and arrange the two water outlet at two rear top corners aiming at the middle of the tank, in my experience, this will allow very even flow in the aquarium with two water outlet and without involving ugly rain pipe in the top area of the layout. Get rid of the 軟水樹脂, it is completely useless in HK especially if you use ADA substract. HK water is soft water already, so unless you put in a lot of rock in the setup, you don't need anything like that.
You can try to put the Hydro near one of the water-in area, see if the Co2 dispersion will be improved.
