In the past, i did spend some time in keeping water: As you may know, i have a big container for keeping water, with peat moss, dried leaves, water softeners, etc inside.. now, as i am lazy, i have stopped using it and ALL fish at home simply use tap water for direct water exchange (but at most 1/4). CRS is different as they are kept in my office and water exchange can be done with drinking water ... for some fish, we have to be patient; for example, for a pair of wildcaught mendezi, i remembered i had waited for 1 year before a particular pair was willing to spawn;

Yes, I already know that, but it seems to me that it is very easy for you breed anything, Apisto, L46 and in various water parameter..... that's why I think the tank water must always in good condition in order to promote spawning! I just wonder if there is some secret tricks to maintain water in good quality in a long run!
