Yeah, no other hardware.
I do put in homemade carbonate water everyother day.
It is a regular US 20 gallon tank, 30" L x 12"W x 16"H.
The substrate is 1" garden top soil mixed with fine silica sand.

值得參考!但用午麼燈具呢,還是一般的燈管?

真的,養草其實可以好簡單!

Light is 55 W Compact Fluorescent with 6400 K bulb and another 30 W fluorescent with GE daylight bulb.
The only thing I worry about is not enough water movement and the top warm bottom cold temperature profile. But so far so good

What is the homemade carbonate water ? Do the grass will generate bubbles as using Co2 gas?

Anyway it is very nature feel & it is great that not much equipment is needed as we normally think it should be for a grass tank !

It pearls like Champaign glass about 2 hours after the light is on.
Home made carbnoate water = 2 grams of dry ice + 2 liters of tap water in a Coke bottle, cap it and wait over night. Will bring CO2 concentration to above 20 ppm for my 20 gallon.

You can try to put a heat pad under the tank. (sounds impossible with a tank full of water!) But it works good. And the heat pad is much cheaper than heating cable.
