水草情迷

pH高達7.6~7.8, 每次換水都會用soulution把他降至6.2, 但是下一次換水測的時候都會跳回7.6到7.8之間, pH一直在調整中, 實在是很想放棄, 但是又很希望能降低它, 因為高pH有幾個大壞處:

1. 肥不容易吸收, 浪費肥料
2. 二氧化碳溶解度降低, 不環保
3. 草長得慢
4. 角落那些草只會活著, 不會繁殖, 葉子常常發黃

因為實在是買不到便宜的泥, 所以種得很辛苦呢...

順便提一下, 由於紅蟲已經全部被吃完了, 所以我把巧克力娃娃關在上面的箱子裡, 因為牠要是一天以上沒餵食就會咬其他的魚, 這一點我非常的小心控制, 巧克力娃娃的脾氣還不算壞, 每次搶糧都還搶不過剛生出來的BB孔雀魚, 看起來鬼靈精怪, 但是吃東西的時候感覺笨笨的, 所以我還是蠻中意牠的 ^^

PH同KH互相關連！
叫朋友郵寄一些樹脂及草泥丸比你(不是很貴的!)，放在濾水器內，三天內見效！
餵乾糧對水質好D！

其實PH都係其次,最主要都係有足夠的光同CO2~
我就覺得你最好換一些比較細的沙,同加基肥~

I guess ¯óªd¤Y is just the same as peat moss. You can pick up some peat moss from you LFS to lower the pH.

看到你的缸有幾舊大石頭....想會是它們影響了ph呢

You need finer grained substrate. How about try some garden soil. Just make sure it does not have bug killer sprayed on it(Dig deep).
What is your CO2 fertilization? From the picture I see an air tube on the left, are you doing DIY/yeast thing? You need a reactor to dissolve the CO2 rather than bubbling it straight into the tank.
Also check the big stones "owen4880" mentioned. Just take it out and drip some vinegar over it. If it bubbles, don't put it back into the tank again.

Well, Vinegar will not work good. You need some stronger acid to get better result.

Yah, I am doing Diy/yeast CO2, I use an air stone because I can't find any glass reactor in canada, only plastic ones that can't be used on Diy CO2.

The pH before I put the big stone was 7.6, and I soaked the stone in vinegar for a day before I put them into the tank, but I remembered correctly that the stones did bubble before. I put them in after they stopped bubbling. Should I still take it out?

Why do you have a lot of riccia in the beeding box ?

You need to take the stone out then. The stone stopped
bubbling probably because all the acid was consumed.
Airstone is not efficient CO2 reactor at all. You have to do
something about it or you can settle for plants that can use
bicarbonate. Do you have access to dry ice? If so, you can
make your own carbonated water. (That stuff is what Amano
thinks is too expenseive to use)

thanks Plantsam. I'll try and remove the big stones first and see, because you see the plants on the left which are mostly soft water plants, they just won't grow like they normally should. That's why I put them all on the left, because I am afraid they won't get enough light among the right side plants.

Hey ¥Õ®æ®æ, which part of Vancouver are you in?
I live in East Vancouver (near richmond) and my tap water's pH is 6.8. I wish I have a higher pH so I can inject C02 more easily (don't have to add some chemical to increase the pH first). That's one of the reasons why I haven't tried CO2 and still playing with some very easy and undemanding plants now (mostly java moss and fern)

You use what brand's fertilizer ah?
