i take something same when i am hiking on the white Cloud Mountain in Guang Zhou City in China. it roots is stay in the water and most of their leaves are grow on the water, their leaves will slip back into the middle part when the sun goes down and will shine again when the sun rise, like the sun flower.
from my point of view, this plant is not that match for Aquarim. Cheers.

talktokeith, i am also beginner, i still have some in my tank now, but they grow very slow, but my prawns love to clean their roots very much. i think you can grow them well if your water is not too deep, but if the water level is too deep, leaves is not yet go to the surface and will grow very slow even die. sorry man, i don't know their name even chinese name.
