[問題] Question about set up a Mini-tank 12"x12"x12"

I am newbie here. I just get a permission from my wife to set up a 12" x 12" x 12" (max) tank. I have read a lot of forum about equipments need for a grass tank, like CO2, filter, and lighting. However I still have a lot of questions, and would like big brothers help.

1) Any advice for lighting, including cover and FL, with 30W power (assume 1L = 1W??) for my minitank (12" x 12" x 12")?
2) Many people recommended Eden501 filter, but I couldn't find one in Fish Street. Anyone know where I can get one, or any other suggestion? External filter is preferred.
3) Can I only use ADA 黑泥? If so, 粗泥 or 幼泥, and how many do I need?
4) How to determine the tank is good or bad?

a very important decision u have to make before u buy the equipment and beding soil. What kind of plant species you want to keep?

迷你矮珍珠, 鹿角苔, and 牛毛氈.

陽草, 咁30W可以話剛剛夠, 如果你只種矮珍珠, 因為根唔會好長, 泥大概有吋半至兩吋已足夠, 可以只用ada泥, 但水能耐d先清

How about 用3枝 15W T8 (Philips TLD15W54, 6200K, Lenght=361mm) and any 燈箱 recommend?

Thanks, but I guess Hydor P10 is too high for my tank. The outlet may higher than the tank water level, and causing problem.

It seems no suitable lightning equipment for 12" tank, therefore I decided to DIY. Please wish me luck.

And I think lighting is a problem too...
how about 6500k light bulb?

Sound like HYDOR P10 is a good choice. It got more space than 501.

It seems light bulb can only cover a small area. Also heat from light bulb is another concern. Please correct me if I am wrong.

How about AquaGem T5 8W x 4?

yes, P-10 has 1.5L internal room space~

AquaGem T5 8W x 4 is not enough for a 12"H tank,
actually the power of T5 8W tube is quite weak
& the size is not fit also (the lamp is 18" long)
