It will be a good news! But, the main concern is that when will such LED be applied to aquarium products. It seems that customer products in aquarium category is not the first priority in the market.
It will not be their Second priority, or third priority, ... in fact, aquarium product is never in the priority list whatsoever. As I said before, the technology is beyond the scope of DIY right now, unless you have the equipment and skill to measure the light intensity and spectrum quality, so this shall remain a day-dream for quite a while.
