剛見到ANDREW之作品, 嘆為觀止, 靚靚靚, 可否提供多些資料, 例如那好像"燈架"是訂做還是自製呢? 如果自製便更高難度.
請問TOTAL要幾錢買料呢?

正! 設計上真的很像台記HQI啊.

但可以肯定是心機真的少一點都不成!

真係好手工、如果加多兩支FL管就更加冇

好正呀,很花心機,但相信滿足感很大!
要加FL管應難度不大,現時有T9管很方便嘛!

Dear All,

Thank you for all your comments (my tears run out while reading the mail)! The whole light was actually base on taiwaness HQI, but most of the items can be purchased from our normal hardware store ! The HQI was initially purchased from mainland china, cost around $400 for 2. than the casing cost around $200 from HK hardware store.
And Bensun was right, since the design was base on taiwaness hqi, I have left some space between the two HQI which can fit not just one FL but TWO. But since, my tank was only 33" it will be bit too much.

The supports and the both end covers were made from my contractor. I gave him the drawing, he gave me the final products. But the rest of the case were made of aluminium which purchased from the hardware store. Using a cordless drill, rivet gun, hand saw and some silicone glue for setting the position before drilling and most importantly few nights of after hour work in the company.

I have all the drawings and dimension, we can come out to fish street and show it to you.

selling light will be meaningless, the spirit of DIY was to make something with you own hands and head. So, I can teach anyone who interested to make for free.

My dream was to hope everybody's fish tank have a HQI with affordable price ! You happy, the plants happy and the fish hapy.

200元的HQI 請問是否晒布路買? YES, you can get the info from this site. That's where I bought them.
個外置牛箱是否連燈一起買? YES, but recently i found the transformers were quite HOT, so I add computer fans blow directly on top of them and now there were very COOL !!!
散熱扇又要幾錢呢? 220V using Aluminium for light weight cost around $55.

total cost case + light x2 around $650.(or less)

Any hardware store (I can't type chinese "5 Gold" store)

Drawing and dimension can be provided if you pm me the fax no.(I didn't have time to put on Autocad, only by hand sorry about the quantity)

HI ANDREW兄: 以咁低的價錢, 加上你咁仔細的工藝, 可以說這個網所見的少有佳作, 有時一件製成品, 非以金錢所能衡量, 心思同花時間找材料, 這些過程都是嘔心瀝血, 得出來的感覺比起金錢貴重不止千百倍.
