Hi all,

I have a friend selling fluorescent tube (t8) and (t5) tubes in hong kong. We have a question that we want to find out. If we can find fluorescent tubes that have the same K factor and same wats. Is it the same as the ones we pay over $100 in Fish street?
For example, a 48" t8 6500K AquaXXX brand cost $130-160, but PhiXXips same K factor same Watts is only $40-50 from shops and even cheaper from my friend.

Is there any difference? will it work the same for plants?

Same thing for HQI bulbs, fish street $200+ for 7500k (aquarium brand). Same K not Aquarium brand only $90-120. is it the same?

種草用既管, 除左 色溫 (k 數) 外, 仲有就係"波長" 水族用既管, 制造上係附合水草生長, 波長係唔同既, 肉眼分辨唔到, 同埋, 有些牌子係內置反光層, 咁個輸出就會有增加啦.

而鹵仔膽反而係冇分別喎, 因為波長好足夠. 但係合適既 色溫 6500~8000k 既, 就多數會係較貴. 而且呀, 係魚街, 拉得上係水族既野, 都會比係普通店鋪貴架啦, 你買個拖板就知啦.

Thanks for your reply and information (grass man). Does it mean that the C.R.I. (Color Rendering Index)have to be 100?

演色性又有唔同波長喎, 不過呢, 水族高級既燈管, CRI 應該都去唔到 100掛, OVER 90已經好好架啦.
而好多鹵仔膽, OSRAM, 喜萬年都係得 >80, EYE 就有 >90. ADA 既, 好似冇 SPEC, 或者睇下有冇師兄用過呢.

The reason of my post is because one of my friend will open a shop soon, selling nothing else but lighting. He asked me to find out the right lights (all sort , T5, T8, HQI, PL. etc ,etc.) for plant aquarium use. He will have them in stock for all of you members with discount, as cheap as he can do it for.
So please if any one knows any type of light tubes or bulbs that works please post the model and price you got it for here and he'll source for all of us.
His shop is in M.K. not far from fish street. will open in about 3 weeks time.

如果可以入到d水貨光管就好，例如，我係黑店見到ADA套缸，跟的光管係National，我查過National個website，要係日本先有得賣，價錢都唔貴，如果香港有得賣，各位朋友一定會多好多選擇。
