Yes, from our respiration! Breath your exhaled air into your tank, and your plants will be delighted!

Our breath contains ~3.5% Co2, atmospheric air has .003%
CO2. So, if you increase it to 3%, you are increasing the concentration by 1000.

Actually according to "thekrib", some guys did this before. But bear in mind that the tank itself actually already has about 2% level. Even you sacrifice your lung to bring it up to 3.5%, still it is not enough for some specific plants to pearl. The figures is interesting.

If the tank has no injected Co2 to begin with, then it can't be 2% co2. without injecting co2, it will be in equilibrium with
atmospheric co2, which is much much lower.

Just discussion.... I never try but just from some readings.
when we say equilibrium, there are some factors have to concern, what is the meaning of equilibrium, CO2 solubility during water surface movement and water re-filling, water stock quantity, plants quantity, fish flakes quantity, lighting and equipment deteriation, algae inclusive?......etc. when add up all these: some people observe that they can use air pump operation to "reserve" CO2 during the night for the plants to use during the day. The most obvious proof of this is by measuring the PH swing during early morning and night time. Then calculate how much CO2 "reserve at night. Coz, the other question arise, how can you measure CO2 quantity accurately and economically.

Really, if you have pictures on your experiment, pls share with us to learn.

I doubt anyone would try that method.
When i first saw that method reported on the webs, I
was also AMAZED by how innovative some people can be.
I think we better off try the diy yeast method, or better still,
the compressed co2 if you can afford it.
Btw, if u visit the site, the author actually said blow into a bag, then use an airpump to pump the air into the tank, he claim that a garbage bag of air lasted 2-3 days.

But I agreed the method is really funny, So, CyberCatt, I can understand ur response haha.. fancy how some people can be so creative!
