T5HOX3~4我覺得夠晒有得啦
I am using T5HO X 4 ...... not good enough!
How long have you set up your aquarium? You only bought the lighting recently, if you have a completely new setup, there can be loads of reason for your problem, changing from 4xT5HO to a something stronger does not necessarily solve the problem, better try to understand your problem before you jump onto new equipment. I think several experience aqua-plant hobbyist have suggested that your lighting is strong enough already, you better think twice before putting all the blame to your 4x24W T5HO setup.
My tank has been set up for more than 1 month, all the living creature in there are doing fine, pH 6.4-6.8, kH 2-3, temp 25-26. Light and Co2 run 8hrs/day. Algae were found in the 2nd week, which has been completly settled by adding 鉛筆, 大和蝦, 飛狐. Now,the water are cystal clear, therefore I can assume with confident that the N-cycle has been sucessfully developed.
During the 4th week, I have cut some of the plants and relocated some of them, the roots are growing, and the top of the plants are alright - healthy green and growing taller and taller. However, my only problem now is that the bottom part of the plants are yellowish and brownish. Therefore, I assume the penetration power of the T5HO is not efficient to go down to the bottom, as plants are plotted quite closely together. So, I didn't blame on my T5HO for no reason.
Yes, T8 have stronger penetration power than T5HO, (I have to declare that I have no experience with T8, but only from the discussion on this web). Anyhow, I believe HQI has more margin for adjustment - meaning increase lighting power by locating it lower to the tank and via versa.
Correct me if I am wrong, please. Thank you.
