水草情迷

最近幾條紅腹鳳凰,金鳳凰和短鯛一條一條死去,死前腹部膨脹, 身體發白發黑,非常駭人
似乎會傳染, 是否需要全缸下藥進行預防傳播. 這是什麼疾病, 是否因為我喂UV蟲引起,
我需要怎樣.

i think the fishes died because the UV蟲 has bacteria.
i suggest you clean the UV蟲 by TDC before feeding fishes,
or feed the fishes by brine shrimp.

they eat over.
i also feed UV 蟲 ,about 1 block for 40 fishs per day

Thx for the suggestions. Right now I feed 1 block of brine shrimp and 1 block of of UV 蟲 ever morning and evening. Will try to feed by brine shrimp and flake food only. I just turn on the UV sterilizer 24 hours a day and hope the other fishes will be fine.

預防勝於治療:
1)選魚要小心
2)選擇魚糧要小心！乾糧為主、急凍糧為副。
3)勤換水，小餵飼。
4)定期清理濾筒。
5)定時用UV燈。

乾糧為主...WHY ?

Thx for everyone's advise. After turn on UV for about 48 hours, no more fish is infected.

However at this stage, shall I use medicine to my tank ?
I tried the Tetra green medicine contains "Malachite green" before, it didn't cause much damage to my plants, however it dye my substrate. The 'yellow powder' also don't have much damage to my plants, but I am not sure if it is usefule in this case. I also tried another color less medicine contains Cl2O, it destroy my whole tank.

Will TDC work in this case ? will it damage my plant ?

Just read the Aquarium Altas Volumn 1. The disease is very likely to be Infectious Dropsy (symptom: bloat eye / bloat stomach). According to the book, Dropsy is extremely infectious. It destroys the liver. It is difficult to treat, once a fish is affected, it should be removed and destroyed.

One of my Betta (same symptom) was dead 2 days ago. WaterLife's Octozin has been added to my grass tank in the past 2 consecutive days and the treatment cycle is 3 days. Right now, no observable stress to fishes, no observable effect to grass and no more dead. Hope there won't be any more dead after the 3 day course.
