Hi all,

Recently brought 2 plots of tenellus for foreground planting.
A week ago, new leaves were developed but they are almost redish brown color . As I actually want the whole foreground carpet to be "green color" so this would break the feeling....
I'm afraid eventally, all of them would turn in redish brown color.... Does it really can't be avoided?

Tank depth: 16 inch to mud surface
Substrat : ADA black mud, pH generally 6.0
Lighting: 4x LifeGro 25W, around 1100 Lux measured
Filter: Fluval 204 (Little fish, should be ok)
Fertilizer: 2 push step 1 & brighty K
Water temp: Around 28 degree (Fan cooling)

Hi RF,
Echinodorus tenellus only develop red leaves in very good condition. That's means you are really growing them well! If you don't want the red color, give them less light and I'm sure they'll turn green. You can try plant them with 矮珍珠 which give a beautiful color contrast in the foreground. Good luck!!

I can't seem to relate Echinodorus tenellus to plant in Mongkok, since Tropica's picture is water colour, very hard to match the real thing. Anyone can give me an idea, please?

macbrush,....sorry....Idon't really understand your word....are you saying that you can't find out the tenellus in Mongkok? Infact, my two plots of tenellus are tropica from Fat X
