水草情迷

我的缸現有一對馬魔短鯛、數十尾燈魚、數十尾藍眼將及數尾孔雀..
可否養荷蘭鳳凰? 它的性情是否較兇?
會否食水草?

短鯛都有地盤觀念, 在發情時就會更加明顯, 同種時的爭鬥會多上, 但對其他不同的魚種都不會有太大的影響, 不會追打至死的.
要看你的缸有多大吧, 夠大的話, 養多幾對都可以呀.

荷蘭鳳凰係一種地盤鱼.....
它們要霸住一個位址
所以有時其他鯛行過才凶佢

I just bought one pair, the male usually attacks the female, but it does attack the other fish occasionally, but it is not a serious problem for those fishes (like red head and sae) which can swim fast. However, I don't know whether 孔雀 can get away from their bites.

因為短鯛大多喜歡在缸底...

我對荷蘭鳳凰成日游去缸面

冇問題丫, 荷蘭鳳凰同一般的短鯛習性有點不同, 比較喜歡在上層及中層水域活動。

I have the same problem too (The male always attacks the female). Fortunately, my grass tank has a lot of obstacles for her to hide. However, I'm worrying if I put them into a separate tank for their reproduction, the female may be killed by her "husband".

My tank is also large enough for the female to hide herself. They have lived together for almost a week now. I saw they danced together for a while in the early morning once (when the light is off). But, when I went back to home after work, I found the male had started to attack the female again (when the light is off).

For those who are experts on this kind of fish, do you know whether this kind of behaviour is affected by the light. Should I keep the light off before they start to pair up?

But mine always fight no matter the light is off or on. Headache!!
