In my little opinion, 溶解器 or 溶解器 with 生物球 are "tools" to increase the efficiency for co2 to be disolved which means to provide more chance to let the co2 to contact with water to provide more chance to disolve.
kh and ph have co-relation to affect the co2 can be disolve, ph changes as the results of the change of ph and/or co2.

For example, before you add co2, kh = 2 and ph = 7.4, therefore the disolved co2 should be 2.4, they are fixed. After you add co2, co2 disolved in water, co2 + h2o = h2co3 (acid) and caurse ph decrease. if you measure the ph = 6.4, then co2 =24.
If you are using ADA soil, both kh and ph are very low, (kh = almost 0, and ph around 5.5, such that co2 disolve is very difficult to be disolved.
Therefore, we add some 梳打粉 to increase the kh,
For example you have ph = 6 and kh =0.5, increase kh to 2, ph will increase to 6.6 and provide more space(buffer) for more co2 to be disolved. if you continue to add co2, and kh then decreased to 6.4, then you have co2 = 24 gar lar

坊間有不少Co2溶解器,均表示有100%的溶解度, they are just advertisement jar mar.
