you feed too much
becuase the fish food contain oil
change water and feed less it can

To ahlap:

I had this problem before, many bubbles stay at the water surface. I think they are co2 discharged from the diffuser. I look at the underside of the water surface, there is an oil layer (protein membrane?) After, I installed a surface skimmer, the problem goes and now the surface is prefectly free from oil everyday. This can greatly improve the interchange of co2 and o2 very well.
