My LED is bought from TaoBao.

I have no idea it in 鴨寮街.
Generally there are using China die(LED chip). a bit heat more than CREE.
If you are not concern, that OK.

Mainly you need to know how many LED(& color) you want.
To calculate the max. voltage & limited current necessary.
Then select a power supply.

Final what about the case you want?
How about the size of your tank?
One simple method is reuse existing a case of aquarium light.
Second using AL bar, it is very common & selling in TB.
Third using another AL bar, box or board to make your own aquarium light.

My experience is that it is not very difficult to do.
