I got 1 set CO2 kit from fish street, cost $165, includes container, bubble counter, valve, tube & diffuser. You can buy the diffuser separately for $75. The first day, it produced about 1 bubble per 30 second. Then the following days produced about 1 bublle per 2 second. This set come with the yeast and other powder.

I connected the diffuser with the timer that control the lighting. So, CO2 diffuser switch on with the lighting. The diffuser produced a very fine bubbles, as fine as the one produced by presurized CO2 set.

Very safe, you can open the container anytime. Because there is no pressure built in within the container.

This CO2 set is the cheapest in fist street. Good for my 16" tank.

The diffuser is powered by electric, and it break the CO2 bubble into a very small little bubble to increase the efficiency of CO2. So, when the diffuser is switched off, the CO2 bubble will directly leaving the diffuser but the efficiency is much lower, because the CO2 is not easy dissolved in water. So we can control the CO2 indirectly.

It seems that it works similar to a DIY CO2 but, as u pointed out, plus a electrical diffuser.

But wonder how long the supply of steady & sufficient CO2 can last (for each mixture of yeast & sugar)? Is it really up to 45 days as claimed on the packing?

That come with 3 package of powder. 1 is the yeast, 2. is the stabilizer, 3, another kind of yeast.
I got it for about 10 days, the first/two day is about 1 bubble / 30 second. Then it kept very steady about 1 bubble / 2 second. Upto now, it works perfectly. I am not sure whether it can last 45 days! I will be very happy if it can last 30 days!!!

For DIY friends, you can mixe yeast and carbon bicarbonate (baking powder) together, that will work as a stablizer. So the CO2 production will be nice & steady.
Plus DO NOT shake the suger, just pour the mixture slowly. So the mixture will react slowly and last longer. If you shake it well, then CO2 will produce very fast but not stable and long lasting!!!!

Its stupid to use 細化杯.

Today its still working. But may be run shorter when the temperature is warmer.
細化杯 need pressure to make it work. If you use the 細化杯 then the pressure may built up in your bottle. You are expected a potential harard, e.g. explosion..But my DIY CO2 you can open the bottle at any time. Because no pressure built up.
The diffuser is AC, I saw some fish shop use this diffuser in their fish tank.
At least two shops sell this model. In term of $, this DIY kit is the best.

有魚友介紹在卡x賣 $12 的一個小 co2 diffuser, 外形和普通氣石一樣.(又是不用 built up pressure 都出到氣)
