水草情迷

本人剛剛開了一個水草缸，並安装了一佃個梯形CO2擴散器，由DIY CO2 出氣，得出以下經驗

本人的器具是
1.5公升寶礦力樽
成份是(砂糖+糖晶粒)共1/4樽 + 三匙(美心奶茶匙)Yeast + 水1.5公升
以上CO2用咗一個月，仍然有CO2出，大約6-8秒一個氣泡

以上各成份其實對於CO2可以用幾耐及CO2出幾快有以下作用

糖
提供原材料作發酵作用，因此糖越多，CO2 System可以維持越久，但要注意太多糖會令糖水太濃，因而令Yeast無法進行發酵，所以建議用1/4樽糖。致於糖晶，與糖膠一樣，因為會慢慢地溶於水中，可以减慢及延長發酵的時間。

Yeast
一種真菌，在缺氧情况下進行發酵，放出CO2。由於Yeast在缺氧情况下很難繁殖，所以數目理論上會維持不變，而CO2氣泡的制造速度就取決於Yeast的數目，即放得越多，出得越快，但越多，Co2 System越快出完CO2。

水
表面上作為媒界讓Yeast進行發酵，但水對於CO2 system的持久度也有一定影響。因為發酵會產生酒精，而過濃的酒精會剎死Yeast，所以理論上水越多酒精的濃度升得越慢，System 會維持越久，當然也要有足夠的糖。更多水的另個好處是可以更早造出CO2，因為初期氣樽走出來的是樽內的空氣，造出來的CO2會續漸取代樽內的空氣，當所有空氣排出後才會有更高純度的CO2走出來。因此，樽內的空氣越少，做出高純度CO2的時間越快。

因此，要CO2 system維持更長時間，System 要大容器，多水多糖，但Yeast數量不用更多。

致於如何維持或控制出泡量
控制CO2的息放量有很多方法，可以用手搖，這樣可以增加Yeast與糖的接觸，從而增加出氣量。另一種方法是增加温度，從而令Yeast更加活躍，有人會用暖管加熱，但比較複雜。本人月用比較簡單的保温法，由於發酵本身會產生熱力，只要在開燈之時或之前用厚布或棉之類的保温物質將樽包着，樽內之温度便會自然提升，而出氣量自然會增加，同樣道理，在關燈後除去保温物，温度會下降到室温，而出氣量自然下降。當然，隨着室温上升，有和沒有保温物之分別會減少。

CO2太多會否剎死魚
由於大多數CO2會以HCO3-的電解質型式溶於水中，而氧氣則以O2 molecule型式溶於水中。因此，CO2的多少理論上不會影響水的含氧量，所以長開CO2理論上不會剎死魚。但要注意過多CO2會令水質變酸，因而影響魚的生長。

以上是本人的一些意見，希望各位俾啲意見。

嗯,有一點非常重要的就是,很多人都以為CO2太多(太多的定義應該是30ppm以上)會造成魚窒息,但是我的CO2跑到36ppm的時候,我的魚都還活著,只是都浮到水面呼吸而已. 我想,雖然氧雖然沒有減少,但是魚應該也吸入比較多的CO2吧,後來我已經習慣了魚早上起來會在水面上呼吸,接著燈開久了就沒事了

That is because O2 dissolve into water from the air, so there is more O2 in the shallow water and most of the fish float up and stay in water which have higher oxygen content.

我試過太多co2,放工番來見到d魚上水面呼吸,但係d小精靈暈左係缸底.

may i ask, ur container is of how large? i am using a 2 liter bottle

how much sugar do u add??? in my system, i add about 300 g of sugar.

For water, i hv add about 1200-1400 ml each time, how about u???

finally, how much yeast do u add into it??? i add approximately 1.5 - 2 g of yeast.

and the most important question: how long can ur system last??? for me, it is quite fluctuate......

I am also us 2L container
I added 300g sugar each time and try to fill up the contained as full as possible
but your must allow some space because frementation will produce some foam which may go into the tubing if the container is too full
I use 5 Maxim tea spoon (the small one) each time
the CO2 can last about one month but you can noticed that in the early phase, the rate of CO2 bubble formation is about 1 in 3-4 sec
and in the end of one month, the rate is one 1 in 6-8 sec, the rate of production is also proportional to the temperature

Since my tank is only 45L, so even one CO2 bubble in 8 sec will be enough

1 month???!! how come can last for so long....
we are just using roughly the same dosage...???

also 1 bubble in 3-4 sec, 1 bubble in -8 sec, u mean in the 計泡器 right???
