I am not sure it is the truth but I remember I read an article about crystal red which says that crystal red is developed from the original bee shrimps. It may be the result of a sudden change of gene / DNA and causing the change of color from black to red. Plants' shrimp may be one of this shrimp which carry the red color gene and becomes a real crystal red!! If that is the case you are very lucky!
Plants seems to be very good at keeping and breeding shrimps. Can you share your experience with us? Can you give us more information of your equipments and water condition?
