水草情迷

My 18"x12"x14" shrimp tank has been setup for 1.5 yrs
20-30 shrimps (I think) 虎紋蝦 and honey shrimp
1/3 with moss and only a few plants with root into the soil. (No3 is not to high 15-20 using tetra test)
2 501 filters and air pump, lightning 36 W for 2 4 hours session in the morning and late at night
a lot of 絲澡 on the glass, moss and grass.

The AdA black soil is dissolved seriously.
I suspect this is the cause for 1-2 dead shrimps
every 2-3 days
the bb is ok but the big one almost died out

I know i have to rebuild the tank with new ADA soil
but all know the ADA black oil is not too good (compared to the past)
I am afraid the tank with new ADA black soil is too rich
for the shrimp and water is not stable
and all shrimp will go
but if i do not rebuild, I am sure sooner or later they will die
Please help



should i just use 白倉泥 (expensive ?!) to start up again

的確...用ada泥設缸要等最少兩個星期...
你有冇第二個後備缸?
如果冇的話我都係建議你用白倉貴泥啦...
好多網友都話落白倉貴泥3個鐘頭後就落得蝦

關於貴既問題,其實買一包白倉泥同一包ada泥價錢都係差幾倍"姐"-.-
你18"缸落一包我諗都夠啦!同埋我諗你都係種蝦為主,
所以白倉泥會比較合適,肥又少d,藻絲都冇咁多

have anyone has the experience of Ada soil at the bottom for 1.5" and 白倉泥 1" at the top.
will it work and not affect the shrimp
while at the same time i can plant a few grass such as 牛毛

你想種草既話一係係白倉泥度加根肥或者落液肥啦~

and what is the life span of 白倉泥?

what will be the difference if I replace the ada soil with
black珍珠. I think it is easy to maintain, but how about the stability of water quality (it seem it is good to retain the bacteria).
and can i still plant some grass

I am not experienced with expensive shrimps, but since my 蝦缸 is connected to my main tank, I know that 水草肥 is harmless to even 水晶蝦， they still grow and breed like no tomorrow， so there is nothing to worry about.
