Depend on which species! For instance, the above species can;t really tell their sexing by the outlook, someother species u can sexing them by their claws, for example. RED Claws - those u can buy from the Fish Street..(Electric Blue color morph) Only the adult male will have a Bright RED band show on the edge of the both Claws... and for the RED Small lobster( Promcambarus Clarkii) the adult male's Claws will have a bit slim and elongation look's claws. and female's claws looks round and wider. Remember most of the crayfish u can't tell their sexing from the outlook during the fry period. unless u flip them over and have a look! and there are two type of male sexing appearance for different species, the above is Australia specy and the america species look total different for the male. And both species female's sexing look alike with 2 holes beneath their body.

am... yes, u may do that. but the thing is u need u have a real big tank to keep them inorder to let them grow faster and bigger. also they are cannibalistic, u must put in alot of slate or tube for them to hide! normally I will sugguest to keep one crayfish in one tank!! or using the small plastic fish tank to keep them. If u want to breed them they must grown to at least 5-6 inch longer from head to tail . and the male one has a red band on its claws that is the time for breeding!!and if the crayfish that u have now is around a inch long I think u need to wait at least 6- 8 month to bring them up!

U can find it in fish street!! $10 -20 a pack!! 5-6 units/pack! those are red claws' baby.. u can find the half adult type at $15 each(green type) but for the Deep Blue type $75-85 each! but if u don;t know how to keep they will change their body color to dark green after several moulting! basically they are same species
