水草情迷

Can anyone tell me the min. requirement for a 短鯛 setup? Is it OK with a 20" tank like Nisso 903? As I prefer not to have water glass at the moment (too much investment!!), is it OK?

There are cheap ways to do planted tank, no need to invest in many fancy stuffs initially. U can get easy to grow plants. And cheap setup can be beautiful too.
I think many of us can give u easy-to-grow plants to try out first. Planted tank stabilize the water quality and keep your fish at better health and happier too.

About dwarf cichlids, many experts here (not me ) can advise u on a beginner setup that is economical. Right, guys?

You may simply put some 摩絲, 鐵皇冠, 水榕, 沈木... in the tank to provide a natural environment for the dwarf cichlid, all these do not require much technique ga.!

Alan2002 and Bird Nest, you mean the plants you mentioned can still survive without the HQI and CO2?

I keep marine reef aquarium before and is tired of dealing of the equipment. That's why I want a minimum F/W fish setup. It'll be a good news to me if HQI and CO2 is not required for plants.

HQI 及CO2 只是提供水草種植用, 如果只養鯛魚及少量陰性草; 應該可以不用的.

I don't use HQI myself.
CO2 can be diy if u like.
