pH ~ 5.8, soft water, and temperature at 26-29C, are very very nice for hatching eliza's eggs.
If you increase pH: You will tend to get more male.
If you increase temperature: You will get more male.
BUT there are limits of course... if pH is too high, you will have more abnormal fry; if temperature is too high (e.g., 35C), many fry will not go out (hatching rate problem) ...

If I keep my ph at stable 5.8, does it affect the hatch ratio of the eggs?? I do so, becos I don't want it to burn its tail fin and for convenience, anyway, should I lower the ph level after the parents laid eggs in order to increase the hatch ratio, or should I just leave it the way it is?
