Yes, I have a problem with the choice of colour by Eheim too, but that's about what you can get from Germany
Part of the reason is because of the design of these accessories was a bit aged, the choice of background for aquarium has changed dramatically, they used to be abit to fit in very well with the old fashion background sheet which are full of plants and fishes, but since planted aquarium tends to use plain and deep colour background, they can't fit in anymore.
There are indeed similar product from other brands that are gray instead of green. Look for Fuval and kotobuki accessories. If you want to replace the hose as well, I think AquaOne has similar product but their quality is not as good as 16/22 and 12/16 from Eheim.
