i want to buy this lamp(no money for other), but i want to know how is it perform? I read the other topic,why so many people change the transformer? Can people who use it (more than 1 year + long hours per day) tell their experince. many thanks!

According to my understanding, I don't think many people changed the transformer, but the fluorescent tubes to Phillips 865 T5HO(meaning 6500K), which is more preferable for the growth of the plants. The original tubes are 13000K, you can still go ahead and use it, but do expect an aglea boom!

In fact, I am using it for my Dwarf Cichild tanks, however, I only turn on 1 tube for about 7 hours per day. So far so good, no complain! Good luck, buddy!

i have the dazs 16wattX3. In the beginning of using it, i do have aglea problem. and my grass is not doing well under the 13000k light. now is better. but the problem is that i can't find a 16watt 6500k tube to chang the 13000k ones. only dazs makes 16w t5ho tube.

He is using 24w X 3, so he doesn't have your problem and he can change to Phillips.
