水草情迷

I have the following setup for my grass tank:

Tank: 24'x12'x14' (around 65L)
Filter: Eheim 2213 (440LPH)
Outflow: Do!Aqua W1 (diameter 12/16)

I want to add chiller to my setup. But I have the following questions:

1. Do I need to change my filter due to low flowrate? If I need to change, which is the suitable level of flow rate?

2. What are the difference of eheim 221x, eheim 222x and eheim 220x series apart from price?

3. Assume I need a filter with about 900LHP, the outlet diameter of 2217/2226/2206 is 12/16, right?

4. As ADA site mentioned, my Do!Aqua outflow supports 10L/minute equal to 600LPH, if I have a chiller with a filter around 900LPH, is the actual flow rate of the setup less than 600LPH?

我今天去了魚街問濾桶，升X sales介紹了應是2073，他說是新model及有promotion只需$1800，改善了第二代的缺點。我見其它約1000L的都要過$2000除了2217，的確是好選擇。但我問他如要一個濾桶推細匹數水冷會否流量太快，水停留在水冷時間太短令冷卻效能反而不好，就像雷探長對Arctica Nano/Mini的調查結果一樣。

他說是有可能的，他提意我用個T-join分流出缸及出水冷，再在出水冷條喉加valve控制水流，他說很多人都是這樣做的，就可以既能用慢水流過水冷，亦不影響過濾的水流量，又可只用一個濾桶。我覺得好似好有道理，是否行得通呢？大家是否這樣推水冷的呢？

如果是可以這樣的話，這樣就會有兩個出水口在缸中，我可否再用T-join將分出兩條喉合回一條喉先入缸呢？這樣就只有一個出水口在缸中了。

還有是我見Eheim有個Universal Pump可以不需放入缸中的，600LPH而且adjustable，像是可以用來推水冷，不過不知道價錢。

唔該師兄幫幫手，我未setup過水冷，雖然爬了文又問過這裡的師兄及魚街sales，仍然困惑，不知如何才是好的setup。

我已經買錯了2213，我不想今次setup完又錯，唔該幫幫手。

2073 is too much for your tank. I prefer 2226/2026 and have it connected to the chiller. It should be good enough.

You mean one 2226 to connect chiller and perform filtering and no split outlet is required. So 2071 has same flow rate 950LPH, is 2071 OK? It is because the sales said some parts of 2226 and 2026 are easily broken and pro III series is improved, is that right? and how about yours?

Secondly, someone performed experiments that Arctica MINI is suitable for flow rate as 2213 to 2215 around 500L. So I am worried about using canister with 950L flow rate.

Yes, no split outlet is required. You can connect the canister, chiller and/ or UV in series. For the parts of Eheim canisters, I have been using 2224 over a year (previously I used to have Tetra) and there is no problem at all. I believe the sales saying is to push you to buy the new product. The only thing difference between the 222x and 202x series is that the latter one has self-priming function and that you don't need to suck out the air accumulated in the motohead but that's not a problem for me. I have no idea about the new 207x series but anyway, I have confidence on Eheim products.
