I don't know much about ecco. But for others, just a few personal views for your reference:
1. Classic: The original design of their canister - cylindrical shape. You can put much filtrates and substrates at the maximum.
2. Pro: Rectangular shape. Adjustable flow rate (though it's not recommended), adpater is detachable so it's easier for you to wash the canister, and the baskets are good for rinsing the substrates
3. ProII: More or less the same design as the Pro version, except there is a maintenance indicator (fancy feature), a starter button so you don't have to suck the pipes anymore, an auto-valve release (another fancy feature).
