ADA light don't have 220V product on before, so all the good sold in HK is only 110V few year ago and also it is not official sell, even the official agent in HK Wai's don't import, only Aqua-World parallel import the 110V product occasionally. However, due to the transformer of the ADA light switch to universal transformer for 110-220V for export item, so it is not require to use step-up transformer anymore, but when you purchase, you have to ask whether it is an universal transformer, because it is not sure whether there still have some 110V stock in the market.

hk 240voltage, japan 110v.
this ada lighting only produce 110 product.

but as i read the above post,is it not possible to link like :

timer(hk 240)------>transformer------>ada lighting ?

it is the timer i am concerns.please if any one have experince can reply,thank you

As what I know, the new transformer of ADA is 110-220V compatible, that mean it's like most of electronic product using electronic part to control the input voltage, so you just need to plug into the socket without the step-up transformer, 220V timer is not a problem.

i just brought a gs 2 ,but 'big black' advice me to buy a transformer,so i think it is 'old' product.
So i would like to know if my connection is ok?.TY

You need to check the transformer marking, they would have indication, for those universal transformer, it would show the input voltage 110~220V, that mean it accept the input between 110V to 220V. If only show 110V, you still need to use step-up transformer.

thank you so much for your info. I would rather to wait for the new stock, as i don't know any electronic stuff. haha, just on the safe side.
should the timer be 110v or 220v if need the transformer?

If your step-up transformer just solely for the light, you can place the 220V timer before the transformer, if you put the timer after the transformer, the voltage is already 110V, it should require to use 110V timer.
