Can you please tell me how to get rid of the oily 'membrane' on the water surface? That thing smells bad.

Thanks 15! But air pump will make lots of current on the surface and reduce the CO2 content quicker. I heard about skimmer. Is that effective?

To 15: I see. But the problem is when the light is back on, the oil comes back quickily. I will not care much about the oil when the light is off. What matters is it is there when I try to enjoy the aquarium, ie when the light is on. That's really bothering.

Do you know the effect of using skimmer?
