水草情迷

Hi,

I have been keeping "Short Pearl" for three weeks. I see growth (new leaves extended to become new plants) but there are darkgreen, sometime yellow-brown, spots on the leaves. I saw from previous posts that this is caused by too much light but not sure if it is the brightness or I turn on the light for too long.

My tank is 24"l x 12"D x 14"H. I used 2 x 24W T5HO tubes and turn on for 9 hours everyday. The distance bewteen the T5HO and the soil is 13".

you have a problem on lighting brightness
you can think of it......24" tank....use 48W light.....

it must not enough!

i have the same size tank with you.....i am using 24W X 4 T5HO......double lighting!

i suggest you need to upgrade your lighting system for keeping your short pearl health!

Wow, I was think the green spots is caused by "too bright".

Did you DIY the T5HO youself or buy it off-the-shelf? How much is it?
