Hi,
I set up a tank my my friend. It is now opened for one week, keeping gold fish and plants. (My friend wants to keep gold fish, but my orginal plan was to keep tropical fish and plants).
Yesterday my friend called me and he said the water became green overnight, I asked him to change 25% of water and see the effect).
I saw articles on this web that UV lamp is useful to kill green water, but due to space limitation, there is no room on the tank top to place the UV lamp (the tank is embeded into a wall). My I put the UV lamp below the tank?
Also, the tank is around 16"L x 14D" x 20"H (yes, very tall) but excluding the soil its volume is 50L only. How may Watt of UV lamp I need?
Many thanks.
Kevin
