Since I always has to go back home late-night, I would like to buy self timer to control the on/off time for the Fish Tank Light, anyone has any good suggestion where and what type should I buy.

According to the old posts from this site, 4-5 hours per day for a new tank is enough, then gradually increase the light time to 10-12 hours per day.

我建議買個LED電子式, 鴨記賣約80大洋。

try the electronic one, it is relatively smaller and very easy to use. I just have one from Sham Shui Po, cost me around HK$100.

Yes, I got this from Ap Liu Street. But I forgot the brand name of the timer. It has a LCD display, the buttons of the timer is blue (one of the button has a drawing of a hand on it). It claims you can set 8 different setting in it. As far as I remember, someone has post the picture of this timer in this web-site. But, I can't find it right now.

Dunn, Thanks for your info, I finally got one yesterday night from Ap Lui Street. I bought the one you mentioned (Hehe, price a little bit lower @$90 after bargain).

Yes, it seems pretty good and easy to use. With 8 different programs setting, I can eventually set whatever I want.

For reliability, I don't know yet. How long did you buy and what's your comment?

I got this just for two week and it never fails. I bought this because it is the smallest one. I think those big ones cannot fit in my "mltiple socker".
