水草情迷

Dear all experts,

I am a beginner and I want to set up a grass tank in mid of May. I already have the following equipments and please comment what others I need to buy.

My tank size 32"x14"x18"(H), c/w 2x24"(18W) FL lamp,
Internal filter is 400L/Hr,
Ehiem 300L/Hr external filter,
CO2 System,
20kg Holland sand.

Is the light sourse enough?
I saw some post, the ADA black mud is highly recommended.
For my tank size, how many mud required?
How about the fertilizer, what type and quantity need?
The base heater wire must be use?

Yours comments and recommendation are greatly appreciated.

What type of Lighting fitting is recommended and budget ?

你可以諗下用 Excel 150w HQI 燈具, 深圳金典賣 RMB800

If you can afford, get the heat coil (base wire) as well. Its very useful, but Cybercatt is right, preferably use it with chiller, otherwise, its quite useless for at least 6 months every year since your tank would be overheated if you turn it on during hot seasons.

But the benefit is enormous, almost totally avoid reset the tank substrate.
