Does ADA the best fertilizer in the market?

I want to buy Step 1 firstly but finally brought step 3 as recommended by the sale. He said that for a "1 year setup" step 3 would be suitable. But after read Superctw page, step 1 would be good for long term use. How about step 2? Does they are really very different?

Are all here using ADA? How about "Tropica"?

Does it mean that the cheaper fertilizer such as Sera or Tetra would only give fair result? I'm now using Tetra for about a year and the plants are good and giving bubbles at evening daily.

step 3 is very easy to grow algae....i try it before and just use half bottle and buy step 1 again, because i think no one will keep the same plant and layout at the same location after ONE year....
