水草情迷

我18吋X12吋高X11.5深缸, T5HO 16W X 3養水晶蝦, 用ADA2泥, 缸中有一沈木上扎左珍珠莫C, 本應無加CO2, 後來想D莫C氐得綠D, 所以就加左CO2, 燈與CO2同步8小時, 但係唔知點解莫C上就爆一D似髮藻/絲藻(啡色一舊舊), 我每個星期會換3份1至4份1水, 大約3至4日先會餵合適份量糧什至1星期先餵一次, 請問點先可以清除呢? 缸中仲有兩條小精靈

wenuslei: Can you post a photo here to confirm? 'cos Hair/ String Algae should not be "啡色一舊舊". BTW, what brand of ballast are you using? I think it should be CyberAqua. In fact, those tubes are not good for plants as their colour temperature is wrong. Algae may burst. You'd better replace the T5 ballast with a PL ballast. 18" tank is a bit difficult to find a perfect lighting system. For your case, if they are Hair/ String Algae, you may add some 大和蝦 to kill them. Note that if you don't have a chiller, try your very best to control the water temperature to 26c below. Otherwise, 大和蝦 may die. Also, adding some Excel can help, too.

唔好意思, 我寫少左水冷, 我水溫KEEP25度, 燈好似真係用CyberAqua, 但唔係好記得(因現不在家),因為養水晶蝦關係, 所以光管用13000K, 我都知呢個K值對種草係高出好多, 但係呢個會唔會係爆呢種藻原因呢? 現CO2 3秒1泡, 我試下晏D POST埋相上來, 因為我試過用水草拑好似捲棉花糖咁捲D藻出來再抺落白色TISSUE到係啡色的

13000K will have algae burst... no wonder. Also, CO2 supply is not enough. You should have at least 1 bubble per second. You have a clue now.

如果我把光管換上10000K可以嗎? 還是最好換上6500K? 另外我換上低D K數光管,再把CO2加到1秒1泡, 就可解決爆藻問題? 我上邊寫的管理手法有需要改善嗎? 謝謝解答

wenuslei: 10000K? No way. You should have 6500K tubes. Sounds like your frequency of changing water is ok. But since there are algae inside the tank, you'd better make it twice a week (or even once every alternate day) until they are cleared. BTW:
1. How long has your tank been set up?
2. Do you apply fertilizers? Stop it if you do until you have removed all the algae.
3. What are the lighting hours?
4. Where do you put the tank? Is it exposed to the lights in your dining room?
5. You don't need to have any bio-rings in the Jaqno pre-filter. Using white filter pads should be good enough.
6. What do you mean by "合適份量糧"? How much is that?

1. 缸就開左2年, 但番左只有3個月
2. 每日燈+co2同步約8小時(1830-0130)
3. 個缸係向windows, 但係唔會俾太陽光直接射到
4. "合適份量糧"係只餵幾小粒糧,

The moss is dead and full of algae. First of all, your lighting system is wrong. Those 16W tubes are not standard T5HO tubes and their colour temperature is not suitable for plants - CyberAqua, isn't it? The tubes are not of 6500K.

BTW, what do you mean by start over? New soil? Besides, a few points to clarify:
1. You have 3 bubbles per sec CO2 supply? That should have killed most of the creatures inside your tank. For your tank size, you should have around 1+ bubbles per second.
2. Even though your tank is not directly exposed to sunlight, weak light would still shed on it and let algae burst.
3. What kind of fishes do you have inside the tank? I see a feeder inside. If you just have small fishes, e.g. tetras, you don't need it at all. Those 粒糧 will induce algae, unless they can all be finished within 1 min.

呢支燈原裝燈管係10000k, 請問師兄可唔石可以pm我呢隻size T5管可以在那裡買到16w 6500k 呢? 我搵左好多間都無...

wenuslei: If I remember correctly, there's no 6500K tubes that are of 16W. Those tubes are proprietary. You may need to replace the ballast with PL tubes.
