interesting to know about the NO3 level of "distilled water".....

Triuo, i have one to the old post. one of the c-hing has test the water in tsuen wan area. he has test it and found that no3 is 20 ppm. so, i think it is correct.

it is the problem according to the area i think.

everything when i put the "dai wo" shrimp into the tank, they die. that's why i want to check the no3.

開左缸幾耐, 用咩濾桶, 用咩同幾多濾材, 總共有幾多生物向缸內呢 ?
係好似新開缸, 未養好硝化細菌喎.

3 weeks already. water is very clear. plants and fishes are good. just not the shrimp. this is properly because too many fishes and feed them too much. i have add the chemical to make the no3 down and keep changing the water. I think it will be fine a week or two after.

i have been working for 18 hours a day for my first 7 years since i start working. then, still keeping busy for the next 8 years and working crazy like 15 hours a day. :grin:

6-7 days a week and no holiday. now, i am not going to work like this anymore. maybe 2-3 hours a day. haha, that's why i have time to make the tank.

I had my dates like that before 2004, I devoted 5 years to charity work after that and leaded several Orphanage projects in PRC, I just get back to business sector, that's why there are a lot of uncertainties in my working life right now.

I really have no idea when I'll get back to a new aquarium at home, it won't cost me a lot to setup an aquarium, so it can be next month, or it can be five years later, it all depends on family and works, I had put my hobby before family previously, that's why I learned very fast on all my hobby, won't do that again so I'll take it easy this time.

after i have add 1/4 litre of di-nitrate (forgot how to spell) for 2 days and slow the flow rate (menu said it require about 200L/H), the no3 drop down to 5-10ppm. i have also test the nh3/4 & no2. the result is nh3/4 =0 ppm, and no2=0-0.25ppm. (i have changed water yesterday night and test this morning)
i will buy some dai wo shrimp and see what happen again.
